Austra - "Spellwork" (music video)

The new music video for Austra's song "Spellwork" directed by Yelena Yemchuk. The user comments over at YouTube aren't all positive but I like it. There's something very soothing about the pacing of the camera work and the framing of the shots in my opinion. Conceptually, it seems very random - the whole scene at the end with the girls gorging themselves on watermelon seemed very tongue-in-cheek but overall I'll give it a thumbs up.

Fanfarlo - "Atlas" (new music video)

Of the last several years, one of the bands I love the most is London, UK indie-folk group Fanfarlo.

The band filmed a video for their song "Atlas", a song which was originally released on the soundtrack for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse this past summer. As the band describes the video:

"We filmed the video for Atlas ourselves on the 3rd and 4th of August over a couple of hours (probably less), in between playing shows at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney last year. Brian Gonzalez edited it and then it was a slow wait until we had the green light to post it online. So here it is!"

The band shot the video backstage at the Enmore Theatre while on tour in Australia last year.
