Just some random concert announcements and music news today. Getting psyched for Land of Talk on Thursday. Not looking forward to the deep freeze that night.

Ruby Coast are getting ready for their trip to SXSW by heading out on tour in Canada and the US through February and March. They're apparently at Hart House on January 22 according to Pollstar while confirmed dates at their MySpace include a Toronto date at Horseshoe Tavern on February 5 with Winter Gloves.

Bell Orchestre, newest Arts & Crafts signees, are set to release their sophomore effort "As Seen Through Windows" on March 10 and their closest(in terms of proximity) date will be February 7 in Guelph at Sleeman Centre as part of Hillside Inside.

Also confirmed for Hillside Inside this year are Stars, Sam Roberts Band, Bedouin Soundclash, Great Lake Swimmers, K'NAAN, Thunderheist, Jay Malinowski, That 1 Guy, and The Magic, with more to be announced. Info from Ticketpro Canada, through which link you can also purchase tickets.

The Hylozoists are at The Mod Club on February 21. Via Outside Music. According to their Facebook page, the band's new album "L'Île de Sept Villes" and will be released through Outside Music on February 3.

Handsome Furs are at the Horseshoe Tavern for CMW on March 13. Via Inland Empire.

Himmelfarb at Stille Post runs down the CMW lineup at Lee's Palace on March 14 which will include Jon Rae, Herman Dune, Basia Bulat, Cuff The Duke and more.

Beggars Group Canada gives the confusing info that Friendly Fires are at The Mod Club AND Lee's Palace on March 31.

Eric Warner posts over at Stille Post that Japanther, Meligrove Band and Ninjasonik will be at Wrongbar for a show on April 5.
