Soul Shine Magazine reports that Annie's "Anniemal" will be given a domestic release on Vice Records, home of Death From Above 1979 and The Stills. The release date is June 7th and according to Soul Shine Magazine will be available at a more reasonable price than the import prices that the album's been selling for. If I remember correctly, it was selling for a ridiculous $29.99 at the downtown Toronto HMV. Fuck import prices. Soul Shine Magazine says you can stream the album over at Vice Records. newpolluter has posted over at stillepost.ca a tentative list of Canadian bands for this year's NXNE. There's several familiar names but nothing exactly hype-worthy yet.
There's a great Coachella photoset over at Flickr. Looking at those photos only reminds me of how sucky the weather's been in the Toronto area. C'mon, it's May already and there's been at least three instances of hail in the last 48 hours. [link via Travelers Diagram via Waxy.org]

Not entirely necessary, but a group of remixers have remixed Primal Scream's "Screamadelica". I'm downloading it right now. This should be interesting. Download the remix version, entitled "Screamixadelica". [download link courtesy of Indie MP3 - Keeping C86 Alive!]

Expecting to see a scruffy-looking Joe Pernice tomorrow night at the Horseshoe Tavern. Maybe his wife Laura'll be there and I can get all super-fan and ask her about a possible Jale/The Vees reunion. Ok, maybe I won't.
