Whatever Happened To Corey Haim?

The ThrillsWatch a live performance(from May 1, 2005) of The Thrills on Irish television show Other Voices. They play favourites like "Big Sur"(vocally kinda off actually, but alright I guess) and the string-filled "What Ever Happened To Corey Haim"! According to The Thrills' website, they've just finished a string of US west coast tour dates(as well one Canadian date in Vancouver) although no word yet when the guys'll be hitting the east coast. Mark E. Smith obsessee's, Toronto's The Two Koreas will be playing their CD release for their album "Main Plates & Classic Pies" on June 3 @ The Boat, 158 Augusta in Toronto, 9:30pm, $5 / $12 with CD. Opening the show will be The Diableros. [info from stillepost.ca]

The Arcade Fire will performing live at The Paradiso in Amsterdam today and the performance video broadcast will be live on Fabchannel.com. You can also check out their archives for some other fantastic performances including another Arcade Fire show from this past March 2005. A recent Dears performance from May 7, 2005 will be archived in the near future.

Pitchfork reports on the upcoming US tour for Architecture in Helsinki who'll, actually be making one Canadian appearance in Vancouver on May 31st at a venue TBA. If southern Ontario-ans are really interested they can make the trek to the band's appearance in Buffalo,NY(at a venue TBA) on June 10th. Pitchfork does report that more dates and venues will be announced soon!

Eels will make an appearance at The Phoenix in Toronto on June 25th. [from More Cowbell]...In the meantime, listen/watch to an Eels recent live session(from May 9, 2005) for Morning Becomes Eclectic.

Of Montreal are in the process of confirming venues for tourdates in August and Septemeber. They'll be back in these neck of the woods on August 29th and 30th, Toronto and Hamilton respectively, venues TBA. [from Kork]
