Watch the modern Christmas classic "A Christmas Story" in 30 seconds...with bunny rabbits! [via copacetic]
Still looking for that perfect(or at least near perfect) Christmas soundtrack to play at the family party? Pimps of Gore has a nifty one for download.
I have to thank Live Net Music for pointing me towards ManiaTV. It includes an online music television station. It seems to be a bit of a bandwidth hog but if you're lucky you'll get a steady stream. Check out the archived 'Artist of the day' interviews which includes Stars. The current 'Artist of the day' profile is Spoon featuring an interview with frontman Britt Daniel.
As a Christmas present to the fans, Teenage Fanclub's Norman Blake kindly posted over at the Teenage Fanclub Messageboard a rare song called "Patty Girl" by an American midwest group called Garry and The Hornets which he mentioned The Fannies had covered with Big Star for an NME charity single a few years back. Norman says that the group's drummer was seven, the bass player was fourteen and the singer/guitarist was twelve. Oh, the innocence. But actually the song is alright.
chartattack takes a look back at its staff writers' Top 15 Records of 2005 then looks ahead with a comprehensive listing of things to do in Toronto on New Year's Eve.
And speaking of the new year, there ARE things to look forward to. ...Neko Case's new album "Fox Confessor Brings The Flood" will be released on March 7, 2006 through ANTI-. I just came across the EPK which previews the new album. Take a gander. ...Over at Stille Post, the Hamilton board indicates a couple of shows for The Casbah including controller.controller & OK Go on February 8th and Mr. Lemonheads himself, Evan Dando on February 12th. I assume Toronto dates'll follow for both, at least for Evan Dando.
Have a safe and happy Christmas!
