Live Through This And You Won't Look Back

Stars - 'Your Ex-Lover Is Dead'Stars performed a live session for BBC 6 Music's Gideon Coe this morning. They performed "Your Ex-Lover Is Dead" and their cover of The Pogues' "Fairytale of New York"!!!!!(perfect timing, especially with the fresh blanket of snow that Ontario got this morning). Listen here(the session is about 1 hr and 40 min into the program and the program is only archived for a week. Hopefully the session will be archived permanently in the future.) Update: Here is a photo gallery of the session.

Eye Weekly gives some press to the Ear To The Ground Festival cancellation debacle. Eye Weekly reports that the festival's board of directors will be posting a statement to www.eartothegroundfest.ca(presently still showing 'The Page Cannot Be Displayed'), presumably about the status of refunds still to be issued to passholders. I mailed my wristband with all required refund forms and documents to the Ear To The Ground festival organizers and I'm patiently waiting for my refund. ...I'm not holding my breath.

Billing themselves as 'The Joseph And Mary Chain', a group of UK North East Indie music acts have banded together to record 'The 12 Days of Christmas' which will be released as a vinyl 7-inch single on December 19th through Distraction Records. The Futureheads get the coveted "Five Golden Rings" verse! Limited to 1000 copies. Listen to a sample here(scroll down for the mp3 link.) Sure to be part of every indie Christmas music mix next year!
