Summer Lovin'

The summer concert season is continuing to shape up quite nicely:

The most exciting news I've come across so far is this Harbourfront Centre Media Release which gives some details of music artists to expect during some of Harbourfront's upcoming FREE summer concert season. Of note are:

  • July 1 - to include The Dears, Jason Collett as part of Canada Day

  • July 7-9 - to include Konono N°1, Jamie Lidell as part of Bud Light Beats, Breaks & Culture: Toronto Electronic Music Festival

  • July 21-23 - to include Nortec Collective as part of Ritmo y Color: Focus Mexico

  • July 28-30 - to include Weakerthans as part of Great-West Life From the Peg!

  • Note: Other than the Canada Day lineup, I'm not sure what specific dates the other artists will be performing on during their respective festivals. Stay tuned for Harbourfront to eventually update their website with a schedule.

In related Harbourfront news, according to the website of booking company The Windish Agency, the following tour date info gels with the dates of the Bud Light Beats, Breaks & Culture: Toronto Electronic Music Festival:

  • Fri 07/07/06 Harbourfront Centre, MSTRKRFT, The Juan Maclean(dj set)
