You Know, The Junos

The Chicago Sun Times' Jim Derogatis had a brief Q&A with Neko Case. Jam! Showbiz continues the Neko press, in advance of her show in Toronto at Danforth Music Hall this coming Sunday April 2. As I mentioned yesterday, I was fortunate to secure a guestlist spot for the audience taping of US show "Beautiful Noise"(featuring Neko live in concert!) which'll be taping this Monday at Berkeley Church in Toronto! Finally, here's the music video for Neko's "Porchlight" which I'd never see before.

Jam! Showbiz spoke with Fembots' Dave Mackinnon. Fembots new music video for their song "History Remade" was shown on Much Music's The Wedge yesterday, but I damn I missed it. I can't find a link to the video anywhere on the 'net.

The Chronicle Herald speaks with Juno nominee Joel Plaskett.

Watch this student project clay-mation video set to Feist's "Mushaboom". There's two segments actually, the first part set to an acoustic version of "Mushaboom" and the second segment set to the studio version. The first segment in particular, is great! Leslie will be presenting an award at tomorrow's Juno Awards.

And btw, Futureshop is selling current Juno-nominated albums for $9.99 until April 6th, and depending on what's instock at your local Futureshop and if you don't already own 'em, why not pick up some of the following:

  • Broken Social Scene - s/t

  • The New Pornographers - Twin Cinema

  • The Arcade Fire - Funeral

  • Martha Wainwright - s/t

  • Joel Plaskett - La De Da [I got this today]

  • Kathleen Edwards - Back To Me

  • Sexsmith and Kerr - Destination Unknown

  • Neil Young - Prairie Wind

  • Hot Hot Heat - Elevator

  • Metric - Live It Out

  • Tegan & Sara - So Jealous

  • Here is the list of performers for this years Juno Awards which will be broadcast tomorrow night(April 2nd) live from Halifax, Nova Scotia. I can't wait for Broken Social Scene!
